I'm at my grandparent's house in GA now, and we just finished eating dinner about 30 minutes ago.
It was a very yummy country lunch....I mean "dinner".
My family (dad, mom and all of us kids) call the meal you eat in the middle of the day Lunch.
There's breakfast, lunch and dinner.
I think country people that eat delicious country food call the three meals breakfeast, dinner and supper.
Today when Kamryn was trying to get a snack to take back outside so she could eat while she made this huge leaf pile was stopped by my grandma who told her to wait for dinner.
You should have seen Kamryn's face!
It is oftentimes very hard to tell what is going through this girls head, but I'm guessing it was something like "You mean it's 11:30, I'm hungry, and I have to wait till dinner to eat?!)
I had to explain that from the time I first started eating at my grandma's house wich was 16 years ago, lunch is always called dinner. It's just fine with me because I know that dinner usually means Fried chicken, blackeyed peas, cornbread, sweet tea, hush puppies, slaw and, my favorite, cabbage from a pan... I have no idea what cabbage from a pan that is cooked down with butter is called, so I'm going to be calling it "cabbage from a pan". =)
I love dinner!

LOL! I would have been like 'excuse me?' if that had been me. That meal sounds absolutely amazing. Who can pass up good fried chicken? (btw, youtube the song 'chicken fried' by zac brown band)

lol! Yummy! We live in the "country" and we call our meals breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Although that is NOT correct according to a bunch of my neighbors :}. lol! Hey can you call me soon or can I call you???

PS: You never entered my contest although it is still open *wink, wink*
I feel exactly like Kamryn practically every day! I'm always hungry. Unless of course you invite me to eat at the Golden Corral(that place is nasty). But other than that exception....=P I hope I live in the country some day, it's so peaceful out there!
Alyssa, my friend(if i can call him that...=P) told me about that song a while back...and ever since, i've loved it! =D
