Family Time With The Browns

I got up at 5:30am to drive to GA with my dad yesterday morning.
We were going to my grandpa's brother's funeral; He was my great uncle.
I really don't remember much of him, but going to the funeral I got to hear a lot about Hoyt Brown, and he sounded like a really nice man that I would loved to have known better. He was a Christ follower; a believer in Jesus; a man of God and that is must be such  a comfort to the people closest to him.

I really enjoyed seeing my family.
The Browns (and a Harrelson) are so much fun!
My dad drove to the Columbia Mall where we met Dennis (my uncle) and Kim (my aunt).
We then drove from there to my grandparents' (my dad's mom and dad) house.
I  really enjoyed talking to Mot and Popa. I love them, and they are so sweet together!  They still both love and enjoy each other so so much!

I got to see Linda and Eddie Ray too.
I absolutely love them!
Linda is one of the sweetest people I know!
She reminds me so much of my little sister Nona. They both have sweet spirits and are such happy people,
and I adore Eddie Ray!
I'm so thankful Linda and Eddie Ray got married! If they didn't I might not even know him!
He's one of my most favorite people.
Our drive to GA was nothing close to boring!
Kim is so funny, and I've never met anyone who has as many funny stories, and who is so willing to share them all.
Anyone who knows my dad will tell you he's a very funny person, and his big brother  Dennis is extemely funny as well!
I think he, maybe, has an extra section in his head that's just for pure clever funniness!
Dennis said that whole day that he wanted to take me to go to get a hot dog at "skins".
So, on our way home we went by for some of the best hot dogs I've ever eaten!

There were pictures all over the place, but these two were my favorite!

I thought they were both pretty funny.

Here I am obeying the sign, but really the verse below is my motivation.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart

be acceptable in your sight, O Lord my rock and redeemer.

Psalm 19:14

I'm going to go read my bible now.
I'm  reading through the bible in 90 days and I'm really enjoying it!

Wednesdays

I adore Wednesdays!
When I was younger I thought it was the worst day of the week.
I mean, it is right in the middle of the week, right?
Although now that I think about it, it's not even in the middle!
Well, I mean sorta, but it's just one big loop to me anyway.

I remember when I was probably 10 this teenage boy told me that Wednesdays were bad because they were in the middle of the week.
I guess I just believed it.

Wednesdays are our busy day.
First Kamryn and Nona have their ballet and tap classes, and that's in the morning.
It's on the other side of town so we spend the rest of our morning/afternoon running errands and shopping. Stuff like that.

After that, we come home and take Cason to swim practice.

Then we have tutoring with our church.
I love that!
I tutor two little boys in... handwriting... has anyone here ever seen my handwriting?? It's ok though because they're 2nd grade, so I think I handle it pretty well. One little boy's name is Peter and the other is CJ, and they are so funny and cute!
It's really just a lot of fun to meet new people, and then help their kids with subjects that aren't their best.
It's kind of funny to me because the kids that come in are smarter than any kids I've ever met.
I think maybe their perents just want them to not only be ahead, but WAY ahead! hehe

Once we leave tutoring Kimmi and I go to ballet.
That's later in the afternoon. It's becoming a little more fun. :)

And on top of all this, I have my sweet grandparents in town! My mom's momma and daddy.

Altogether, Wednesdays are fun because I get to see people I don't get to see everyday. Even if it is the middle of the week! ;D
Here are a few pictures from our day.

Hope everyone is having a good
Wednesday!

Congratulations Tyler

Congratulations Tyler!!!

Today, my cousin, Tyler had his Charleston School of Law graduation.
I have a Lawyer cousin now! :D
It was Downtown Charleston, and I love spending time downtown!
And who better to spend it with than the Eddie Ray and Linda Brown family?
It was all so much fun, and I'm so glad I got to be a part of it!
After the reception we went to a restaurant called  Fleet Landing. It was probably one of the neatest restaurants I've ever been to, and the view was stunning!

You could see Fort Sumter way off in the distance.
Anyway, the day was a lot of fun, and we're all so proud of Tyler for all his accomplishments!

(Tyler, Linda and EddieRay)

Ok, I'm sure you are all noticing the bad quality of  this picture , so let me explain why it's so fuzzy.
About two weeks ago I found my camera in the washing machine.... I guess the person who does the laundry (I'm not going to say her name because I don't want to be talking bad about her, but I'll give you a hint... she has 8 kids, she's sweet and fun to be around, and her name starts with a D and it ends with an onna.... but again, I'm not going to mention any names so that I won't  make anyone feel bad.
Anyway, I'm guessing this person thought it was a little dirty so she washed it.
I'm just telling you all this so from here on out you'll look at the pictures I put on my blog and instead of saying, "Wow, would you look at the bad quality of that picture!" You'll now say, "Wow, can you believe the great quality of that picture  even after being washed!"

Hope every one is well and having a good Sunday!

♥ Alston and Marina Brown ♥

This is my cousin, Alston, and his beautiful new wife Marina.
I didn't have a picture of the new Brown family on their wedding day so I "took" this one from my cousin Jenna's blog. She's has an amazing eye for photography!
Alston and Marina were married on the 14th and it was so  much fun to experience a Greek wedding. It was intriguing to see how much tradition they have held on to. It actually makes me realize how much tradition we lack!
It was so sweet and we're all so excited to have Marina in our fam!

My moma is so pretty, and I just have to say I have one cutie of a brother, too, who was also an usher!

My handsome daddy and me!

Here's the wedding cake!
Juuuust kidding. This was the grooms cake at the rehearsal dinner.
It fit the theme of the rehearsal dinner perfectly because Alston's an outdoorsman.
The duck is made of rice crispy treats. The cake was one layer of strawberry and one layer lemon, and the big hunka wood was made from... a tree! It would take the team of Cake Boss people to make cake look like a tree. heeheehe

I know this is so blurry, but I love this picture! There was lots of dancing at this wedding. The people who were Greek were so much fun to watch! They had so many different dances and they would all get together in a circle, and they all looked like they had done it before!
We didn't do any of the the Greek dances, but we did a little American dance'n... like the macaraina, and the electric slide...

Here's Mot and Nona.
We literally had to take about 7 because Nona wanted so much to have a picture with her tongue sticking out or looking crosseyed or whatever she was doing.

Here's the wedding cake. Prettier than the grooms cake if you ask me. ;)

Here's my dad and Dennis. Jenna's daddy and my dad's big brother. They were standing in front of the church. I would have taken pictures of the beautiful stained glass art inside the church the, amazingly, huge painting of Jesus on the top of the ceiling, but there was no flash photography allowed inside.

Here's dad and Kimmi. I love this picture of Kimmi. So pretty.

The wedding was so much fun and really sweet!
Congratulations Alston and Marina!
 Love you guys so much!

•Dinner•

I'm at my grandparent's house in GA now, and we just finished eating dinner about 30 minutes ago.
It was a very yummy country lunch....I mean "dinner".
My family (dad, mom and all of us kids) call the meal you eat in the middle of the day Lunch.
There's breakfast, lunch and dinner.
I think country people that eat delicious country food call the three meals breakfeast, dinner and supper.
Today when Kamryn was trying to get a snack to take back outside so she could eat while she made this huge leaf pile was stopped by my grandma who told her to wait for dinner.
You should have seen Kamryn's face!
It is oftentimes very hard to tell what is going through this girls head, but I'm guessing it was something like "You mean it's 11:30, I'm hungry, and I have to wait till dinner to eat?!)
I had to explain that from the time I first started eating at my grandma's house wich was 16 years ago, lunch is always called dinner. It's just fine with me because I know that dinner usually means Fried chicken, blackeyed peas, cornbread, sweet tea, hush puppies, slaw and, my favorite, cabbage from a pan... I have no idea what cabbage from a pan that is cooked down with butter is called, so I'm going to be calling it "cabbage from a pan". =)
I love dinner!

•Papa•

My grandpa is going to be having a procedure done withen the next few weeks. He's in his 80's and he has a 90% blockage in his neck. Would y'all please all pray for him?

This is Nona Klare and Papa. He takes his grandchildern "driving" around his cow pasture. He actually still wants me to drive with him whenever we visit. He won't let me go any faster than 2 mph, and he'll put it in gear 2 so that's the fastest I could go... he still tells me to slow down. I don't actually sit in his lap anymore though. HAHA I can't make myself tell him thatit's not as fun as it was when I was 11. I still go with him because I love him, but not because of the excitment. =) He's so sweet. He's recently been walking in Hartwell GA, where he lives, and when he meets someone, he'll share the gospel and hand them one of his gideon bibles. He's such a good man.

Our Trip

Well, we made it, and I'm alive! We left our house at about 8:45am and made one quick errand, and we were grandparent bound. We're now here after a 5 hour drive. The ride down here wasn't too bad at all. It was actually much faster than I thought it would be which is usually not the case at all! Well, hope every one is doing good! It'll probably be a week or so before I post again.
Proverbs 10:19
When words are many, transgression is not lacking, but whoever restrains his lips is prudent.
