SuMmEr

 wow, summer just flew by!
It's unreal to me how fast those burning hot summer days left.

I want it back actually, but I'm excited for classes to start back, and to get me summore learnin'!

This summer was uneventful, calm and happy.

I was also really blessed this summer because my aunt and uncle gave me a car! A little green Hyundai, and i named him.... Ralph! hehe

What have you done this summer?

here are a few pictures of my summer...

Jewelery making with Kimmi!

She's gotten really good at making earrings, and she sells them now and gives 20% to missions! (: *hinthint*

uh.. ART!
That's me!

I'm now finally back from my first day at Trident Tech! I'm taking two college courses every Saturday, and today was my first day. It went great and I really liked  both of my teachers!!

I'm going to confess that I was a little bit worried about the Psychology class because I didn't know untill about 12:30 last night that I had to come to  class prepared for a quiz for the first 2 chapters! I didn't realize I was receiving emails already from my professors through the college's email system. So my sweet daddy stayed up late with me and helped me take notes and when I got there Iwas familiar with  all the stuff she was talking about because I had read the chapters! That was a relief! Thanks dad!

In my English class we will be writing a paper every week and reading it aloud.
Not untill after we finished writing the papers did we find out we had  to  read it out loud to the class.
There were only two guys and two girls that read theirs out loud. The rest  refused.... really they did! . I really would have preferred not to read it to the class, but I didn't want to seem like I didn't care so I volunteered. It wasn't bad at all! I actually enjoyed getting to share my paper with the class, and also listening to the others.
I thought it'd be  fun to also put my writing on my blog every week.
Today we were writing discriptive papers, and it could be about anything.

I picked  Nova Scotia, Canada to describe. We went there 3 summers ago... wow, it doesn't seem like that long!!!

This is what I mustered up in the 10-20 minutes given to us:

Second Paradise Nova Scotia

The Bright blue Nova Scotian sky stretched out over the glistening bay and looked like it went on for eternity. The sound of the gulls, the sight of the magnificent beauty of the cool ocean breeze was captivating. Such detail went into its creation. The cool yellow sand hugged my feet as I marveled at foam ingulfing the shiny wet boulders which sat by the clear blue water.
In the many days that were spent in Nova Scotia, Canada I noticed that this land only became more and more alluring.
While paddle boating one could look any direction and see what could be a painting. If you were to look dead ahead your eyes would see a never ending body of glass water. One's mind could drift away with the limp sea grass which has somehow managed to stay afloat. Looking to your left your eyes would find a lonely island just waiting to be explored. To the right you would see the rocky shores and listen to the rocks being splashed by cold water and that is a sight that southerners don't see very often. Once your eyes have moved in all direction you can look behind the little paddle boat and see a white farm house ontop of a big green hill just over looking the Canadian shore. My trip was beautiful in so many ways. It is an experience I would love to have again.

This is Peggy's Cove. We all have hiked around on these rocks.

This is where we stayed .
It is called Second Paradise.

•Bonnie and Clyde•

I absolutely adore this picture of Cole and Kamryn. It just really speaks for itself. They are definitely a little team. Bonnie and Clyde, right here folks. I'm serious!
Today Cole and Kamryn- Ok, I'm not proud of what they did, I'm just telling- they were on a walk with Kimmi, and there were two little boyscouts, probably about 9-years-old selling popcorn door-to-door, and pulling it around in the back of their cute little red wagons. Anyway, one of the two little boys said to Cole, "Heeey, don't you know you're riding a girls bike?" and Cole, aka Clyde, the comeback KING said, "Well , don't you know you're pulling a little girl wagon?" and Kamryn, aka Bonnie, added in, "Yeeeah, and where are the little baby dolls that you should be pulling in the back?!?" After this was all said and done Cole, the popcorn LOVER of the Brown family, asked the boys, "How much is your popcorn?" I thought that last line was pretty funny. Just so everyone knows they were corrected. My parents didn't see the same amount of humor in it that I did. They were looking at it from the perspective of evangelists, and Cole and Kamryn were terrorizing the boyscouts. This would be opposite of evangelizing here people. I have to laugh whenever I think about it though.
Do ya'll have any funny brother/sister stories?

•Jessie's New Toy•

We went to the mountains last week and while we were there, we all went to our favorite little gift shop called The Wrinkled Egg. It's so cute and it has lots of toys, candles, candy, real bunnies and pizza. Jessie, my 15 month old little sister, who usually doesn't have too many tantrums "threw one" in The Wrinkled Egg. My mom was holding her, and she showed Jessie a little toy. Ok, I say toy, but this thing was no toy. Especially not a toy for a baby girl. The toy was shaped like a jelly octopus, and it had eyeballs on each of the many, many tentacles. When my mom put this "toy" back Jessie started to cry. Then it got worse, and worse. She got more and more mad and she was screaming, and she was crying. We were leaving, mainly because she was being so loud, and we got in the van. My dad got in the car and my mom told him why she was so upset, and so my dad sent me in to go buy it for her. My dad came in after me with Jessie. He told her in her ear all the way that" Daddy's gunna get you the toy." It was very sweet and gracious of my dad. She went from crying histerically to VERY happy. It was so cute. That was the first time she has ever cried because she wanted something from a store, so my guess is that's why my dad let in. He's just getting too soft in his old age. Jessie is the youngest and just might end up being a little bit spoiled. =D

•Good Bye Summer•

Well, 3 months of excitement have come and gone so extremely fast, and much to my dismay, it's just about over. Well, it might not say summer is over on the calendar, but as we all very well know... it's over. School is back and running again, and there's starting to be a cool breeze. I have got to say, though, that the cool autumn breeze is most definitely my favorite!
This "past" summer has been my bestestful summer ever! It hasn't been too hot like all of the other past summers that I have lived for the past 16 years. Really, every summer, for as long as I can remember, it has been waaay too hot until this year. I've enjoyed every hot and humid Charleston day. It was filled with swim coaching, which is definitely not why my
summer has been my bestestful summer ever. There have been free summer movie watch'n, garage sale goin', chess playin', new (and adorable) baby kittens, etc., etc. . I am so thankful to the Lord for all that he has graciously given me, and I don't deserve any of it at all, but he just keeps on giving!!!
I've decided to keep my blog updated more so in the next few days I'll be posting pictures of my new (and adorable) baby kittens.
Hope everyone is having a great week!
So, what has been your favorite thing about this "past" summer? =)
