♥ Baby Lamb Video ♥

My friend and I were up late the other night just hanging out, and I think things are always more funny at about 1am.

We were laughing SO hard, and I thought I would share the video with my bloggy friends:)

I really, REALLY, want a baby lamb! Well, I guess it would just be lamb, right? not baby lamb because a lamb is a baby already!
Okay, baby lamb sounds cute, so that's what I'm going with! ;D

No means Yes and Yes means Yes!

Here's my precious little sister learnin' the difference between 'yes' and 'no'.
Make sure you notice Jessie's mini tantrum when Kimmi fixes her dress. ;D

Are You Smarter Than a Scientist?

We were all sitting at at the dinner table last night, and dad was reading the bible to us.
We were talking about rebellion which  brought up the topic of  evolution.
Cason, the family evangelist, was telling us what he tells his friends when they talk about evolution.
Cason says to them,
"When I think of evolution I picture someone scattering a box of legos, and then putting some CO2 on them and blowng the legos all up. Then once they're blown up and all in the air, they fall back down and they make a perfect little house."
Then after he says that he says
"Order can't be made form destruction."
I thought that was a neat way he put it.
Cason said that once he says that they stop arguing about evolution. hehee
I guess in a way they see how he's right.

We were all talking about this and Kamryn looked like she was deep in thought, and she said,
"You know what! I'm smarter than a Scientist!"
My dad asked her why, and she said
"Because scientists believe in aliens."
My dad said "You're right Kamryn."
Then Cole chimed in and said,
"Well, I'm smarter than a scientist too!"
Dad asked him why and he said, in a his very fast voice,
"Because they think that there was a speck, and then that speck turned into a tad pole, and then that tad pole turned into a frong, ok I know tadpoles do that, but then they think that frogs grow wings and then they can fly. Then the scientists believe that they turn into apes, and then they turn into cave men, and then they're people with long beards."
He knew this was funny, and so did the rest of the family.

Mr. Grumpy Man Germaphobe!

Well, I feel the same today as I did this time last week.
Now that it's Saturday I feel sorta like I've hit a milestone!
I have worked so hard studying, and it feels like my hard work has paid off.
Now I have the rest of  Saturday and Sunday to rest!!
What a good feeling!

My mom, Max, and the girls went to see the movie The Princess and the Frog  today while Kimmi was at a birthday party and I was at school.

Mom said Max, during the movie, had to go to the restroom around five times.
Mom said she washed her hands and Max's hands everytime, but the 5th and last time they went in neither of them washed their hands.
Max did  put his dry hands under the hand dryer.
(so I guess that counted)

When they walked out of the restrooms Max asked mom "Did you wash your hands, mom?"

Mom said "No Max. Not this time."

Max didn't say anything, and it was quiet for a a few minutes until they were about to walk back into the movie, and Max said.

"Leggo of my hand! Your hands are gross!"

This is a picture of Max that I found on my old blog a few weeks ago.
I had forgotten about this picture.

Cracks me up!

Optional Side Effects

I took a doctor trip today.
I've had a cold for too long, and today I woke up with the same cold, maybe even a little worse, and on top of it all I felt like my glands in my throat were swollen. Kinda yucky, I know! hehee

While I was at the Doc I got tested for everything it could possibly be.
The doctor was sure it was MONO.
She tested me for lots of other stuff too because I guess after telling her everything, it fit the criteria of many different illnesses.

Have any of you ever been tested for the flu?? It's so much worse that the strep test!

Well, she took my blood to see if I had MONO, and I thankfuly didn't!
My white blood cells were  high, so that means I have an infection and it's in my throat.
It's just a bad cold that is now being taken care of by antibiotics.
It's really not too bad at all.

We went to Publix to get my perscription for swelling and the infection.
The doctor gave me one for my cold and the infection, and she also gave me an optional medicine that would un-swell my throat glands a bit quicker... which means I didn't have to take the second medicine, but I was still going to take it.

Once we got back in the car my mom sat in the drivers seat reading the medicine box, and all the sudden she started laughing.
She was reading the side effects for the optional medicine.
It seems to me that it's not the least bit worth it to take this medicine!
What do you think?  hehee

Here are the possible symptoms:

1. Bone/Joint pain

2. Easy bruising/bleeding

3. Pain

4. Vomit that looks like coffee grounds   (OM MY GOODNES!!)

5.  Severe stomach/abdominal pain

6.  UUUMMM.... I'm leaving this one off... hehee

7. Increased thirst/urination

8. Fast/pounding/irregular heartbeat

9. Shortness of breath

10. Swelling of ankles/feet

11. Persistant weight gain

12. Puffy Face  (don't 10, 11, 12 sound like the same thing?)

13. Unusual hair growth

14. Thinning skin

15. Slow wound healing

16. Infection

17. Persistant fever/cough/sore throat

18. Unusual skin growth
19. Eye pain/discharge

20. Muscle weakness/pain

21. Mental/mood changes

22. Mood swings

23. Agitation

24. Depression  (because of all the side effects I'm guessing)

If you would please leave a comment letting me if you think  I should or should not take this optional medicine, that would be great. :)

Actually, I'm totally kidding! We took it right back inside Publix.
My mom and I thought this was pretty funny, especially giving the fact that it'll get better with the other medicine anyway!

A joyful heart is good medicine.

Wednesdays

I adore Wednesdays!
When I was younger I thought it was the worst day of the week.
I mean, it is right in the middle of the week, right?
Although now that I think about it, it's not even in the middle!
Well, I mean sorta, but it's just one big loop to me anyway.

I remember when I was probably 10 this teenage boy told me that Wednesdays were bad because they were in the middle of the week.
I guess I just believed it.

Wednesdays are our busy day.
First Kamryn and Nona have their ballet and tap classes, and that's in the morning.
It's on the other side of town so we spend the rest of our morning/afternoon running errands and shopping. Stuff like that.

After that, we come home and take Cason to swim practice.

Then we have tutoring with our church.
I love that!
I tutor two little boys in... handwriting... has anyone here ever seen my handwriting?? It's ok though because they're 2nd grade, so I think I handle it pretty well. One little boy's name is Peter and the other is CJ, and they are so funny and cute!
It's really just a lot of fun to meet new people, and then help their kids with subjects that aren't their best.
It's kind of funny to me because the kids that come in are smarter than any kids I've ever met.
I think maybe their perents just want them to not only be ahead, but WAY ahead! hehe

Once we leave tutoring Kimmi and I go to ballet.
That's later in the afternoon. It's becoming a little more fun. :)

And on top of all this, I have my sweet grandparents in town! My mom's momma and daddy.

Altogether, Wednesdays are fun because I get to see people I don't get to see everyday. Even if it is the middle of the week! ;D
Here are a few pictures from our day.

Hope everyone is having a good
Wednesday!

Curiosity Killed The...

I walked in my room, and was startled because our cat had her whole head in the fishes bowl!!
The worst went through my head, and I thought, Charlotte, our kitten had just treated herself to a  tiny bite of sushi.
To relieve you of fear, I will tell you now that she did not.
She was only looking to make a new fishy friend.

Still, though, I'm keeping my door closed and my suspicions high... just in case she gets any ideas! hehee

cRaFt Time

While Jessie took a nap, poor Kimmi was in bed with a tummy bug, and sweet little Kamryn stayed in Kimmi's room to keep her company and watched a movie with her. That left two Brown girls.
Nona, and I, took on the challenge of a craft.
Nona got a purse kit in her Christmas stocking, and I "helped" her do it.
She actually did do some of it with me.
I think she'll end up being a crafty girl after all!
We had a lot of fun spending craft time together!
Nona is so sweet hearted, and I'm so glad I'm privileged enough to be her big sis!
God gave me a very special job of being an influence on my baby sister.
I love my job!!

I don't have a picture of her with the finished project yet. It was so funny because I was looking over pictures and noticed that she had started makeing a crosseyed look in the last few pictures. She's so funny, but now I'm with out pictures! haha

Hope everyone had a good day!!

Princess Kitty

These are pictures of Max and his cat.
He LOVES his "Princess Kitty" That's what he calls her, his Princess Kitty.
It's so funny because the cat loves Max too... well, she doesn't run when he comes to get her.
She actually appears to like him.

In this picture Max is playing peak-a-boo. The cat just lets him do it.

Hope everyone had a great Christ centered Christmas!

Quotes by Kimmi

I see people put quotes on their blogs all the time of famous writers, poets, and theologians. I put quotes from Kimmi.

This is what kimmi just said to me when I told everyone I knew I was going to love what Kimmi got me for Christmas because she asked me what I wanted and I told her.

This is what she said with a funny/cute/guilty face...

"Uuuuuuh... I got you what you wanted for Christmas, it's just not what you said you wanted."

She's still my BFF!
Actually, knowing Kimmi, I'll probably end up liking what she got me better than what I asked for.

• Max's Musings •

Well, Max has just hit a milestone in his life...
He has just started to become conscious of the fact that girls are much different than boys, and it really doesn't make any sense to him. Boys are just more fun!
Most of us girls, we like pretty things. Like, for one, jewelry serves no purpose but to look pretty, and we girls are perfectly aware and happy with that.
Yesterday Max was having a fit because he had Nona's little plastic crown, and her crown has lots of jewels on it. Two of the biggest rhinestones are this hot pink color, and Max brought it to my dad to try and figure out what the "buttons" would do because he couldn't get it to work properly. Because you know, for example, if you push a button on Buzz Lightyear then his wings pop out. So then, why aren't wings popping out on this crown???
He was having a mini tantrum- which is probably a full blown tantrum for most 3 1/2 year olds- and he was bothered because the buttons weren't working as they should.
My dad had to get his attention, and tell him that it wasn't a "button". He told him that he could try and push it all he wanted, but it wasn't going to make a siren noise or that pushing the rhinestones weren't going to make it start blinking and flashing either.
It was so funny to watch him.
Max said, "What's it for then?!?!?!"
(In a somewhat calmer voice)
My dad told him "Max, it's just there to look pretty. It doesn't do anything."
He really did just have this look of pure befuddlement.

I mean, I guess it would be sorta cool if you could push one of the rhinestones and something really exciting would happened...... Naaaaaaaaaaah! ;D
It's perfect just as it is!

• Jessie Worshiping •

For as long as I can remember, we have been singing the song Crown Him With Many Crowns during our family worship, and once Max, 3 1/2, came along he started thrusting his fists into the air about every 30 seconds with the tempo of the song.  For example: Crown Him wih many crowns (He woud throw his hands up after this line.) And then: the Lamb upon the throne (He'd do it here too.) Hark how the heavenly anthem drowns all music but it's own. (You get what I'm saying? ) It's very cute and contagious but has become more of a sporting event in the Brown household. We all do it now. Even Jessie. It's so cute, and it makes her look like a big girl. We're really not charasmatic, but maybe Jessie's trying to push us in that direction. heehee

The first little Brown kid that really really loved this song was Kamryn, 7 1/2. When  the babies are young they always just walk around while we read the bible and talk, but if we ever want that little one to come sit with us we just break out in Crown Him With Many Crowns. We know if we do that whatever baby is walking around will come running to find a lap to sit and sing along.
Jessies's mouth is wide open because she's singing with passion! Or at least she's attemptig to sing. It's more like a loud yell, but as you can very well see Jessie gets into it what she's doing.
Last night was the first time she started doing it, so this is definitely "blog" worthy! ;)

• Picture Day •

Every year, with our home school group, we have class pictures.

Of course every one wants to look their best because that's how you'll be remembered for the rest of your life in what ever grade.

Everyone wants to look good except for Max.

Yesterday night, when we were getting all of our clothes ready for pictures at 11:30 am the next day, Max decided to go hide away in my room and cut his pretty blond curls.

He came walking down stairs with a smile on his face, and we all just looked at him for just a moment in shock.

It seems like little kids always know where it would make the most impact with scissors.

Max cut his hair in the front on the very top of his head. He looked like a clown... still cute, so he was a cute clown.

My mom had to just shave his head.

It was so sad. He had already had a lot his baby curls cut away, but this was for real.

 He had them shaven off.

Now he looks like a big boy.

Alyssa and I were just talking about how it's no fun to have a bad hair day on picture day. Max won that award Alyssa! hehe

Well, I'm off to go to swim team.

Hope everyone is having a blessed day so far!

•The Bug•

Why is it that the night time is when you're most prone to be sick? My mom and I were just having this convo about 20 minutes ago. I really do wish it were the other way around to tell ya the truth! I mean, you're tired, you're lonely, and you just want to sleep! I'm not sick now, but I'm always the last one to get it and that's probably because I fight off sickness like a mad woman!!! WHOOHOO  I went and slept on our couch in the living room last night because Jessie got sick at about three o'clock in the AM and we're roomies. I was just laying there in the living room  and listening to all the sick people in the house... TERRIBLE!  Throw up bothers me, and that is to say the least. I'm actually getting much better about my "fear" though, and I'm so proud! My dad would most likely disagree about my maturing in this area. ;) He picks on me about it so much, but he really does know he makes me loosen up about stuff. He's so sweet. He's sweet to me through his picking on me. For example: I went to the gym today with my friend and her mom, and I got back at about 8:00 am and when I got home, and sick people were just getting out of bed, my dad started telling the kids to come give me a big hug. I mean, I feel so guilty because I'm laying on the couch in the middle of the night feeling sorry for myself while everyone else in earshot is up stairs sick... I mean, I am praying for them! Does that counts for anything??? Everyone is doing so much better now, so that's a blessing. Now Cason, Cole and I have to get "the bug" then we will all be fine and dandy once it goes through! =D I'm going to go enjoy some of my mommy's yummy chicken noodle soup. This one in the picture might look pretty, but I'd bet you money that my moms tastes better! ;)
Hope everyone is having a good un-sick week!

•Bonnie and Clyde•

I absolutely adore this picture of Cole and Kamryn. It just really speaks for itself. They are definitely a little team. Bonnie and Clyde, right here folks. I'm serious!
Today Cole and Kamryn- Ok, I'm not proud of what they did, I'm just telling- they were on a walk with Kimmi, and there were two little boyscouts, probably about 9-years-old selling popcorn door-to-door, and pulling it around in the back of their cute little red wagons. Anyway, one of the two little boys said to Cole, "Heeey, don't you know you're riding a girls bike?" and Cole, aka Clyde, the comeback KING said, "Well , don't you know you're pulling a little girl wagon?" and Kamryn, aka Bonnie, added in, "Yeeeah, and where are the little baby dolls that you should be pulling in the back?!?" After this was all said and done Cole, the popcorn LOVER of the Brown family, asked the boys, "How much is your popcorn?" I thought that last line was pretty funny. Just so everyone knows they were corrected. My parents didn't see the same amount of humor in it that I did. They were looking at it from the perspective of evangelists, and Cole and Kamryn were terrorizing the boyscouts. This would be opposite of evangelizing here people. I have to laugh whenever I think about it though.
Do ya'll have any funny brother/sister stories?

•Jessie's New Toy•

We went to the mountains last week and while we were there, we all went to our favorite little gift shop called The Wrinkled Egg. It's so cute and it has lots of toys, candles, candy, real bunnies and pizza. Jessie, my 15 month old little sister, who usually doesn't have too many tantrums "threw one" in The Wrinkled Egg. My mom was holding her, and she showed Jessie a little toy. Ok, I say toy, but this thing was no toy. Especially not a toy for a baby girl. The toy was shaped like a jelly octopus, and it had eyeballs on each of the many, many tentacles. When my mom put this "toy" back Jessie started to cry. Then it got worse, and worse. She got more and more mad and she was screaming, and she was crying. We were leaving, mainly because she was being so loud, and we got in the van. My dad got in the car and my mom told him why she was so upset, and so my dad sent me in to go buy it for her. My dad came in after me with Jessie. He told her in her ear all the way that" Daddy's gunna get you the toy." It was very sweet and gracious of my dad. She went from crying histerically to VERY happy. It was so cute. That was the first time she has ever cried because she wanted something from a store, so my guess is that's why my dad let in. He's just getting too soft in his old age. Jessie is the youngest and just might end up being a little bit spoiled. =D

•Does Your Daddy Cook? Mine Does!•

Oh, the great wonders of cook'n! My dad is, at this very moment, in the kitchen making a dessert with my excited little sisters. The main little Brown girl doing this is my precious little five-year-old sister Nona because she is the cutest... just kidding... kinda. Well, the reason he's doing this is because Nona has been carrying around these cards that have cute children's recipes on both cardboard sides. She got a whole big box of them from a garage sale a few weeks ago, and she has been showing the desserts to us saying, "I'm going to make this for you." She is SUCH a giver. With everything! Any time she goes somewhere she makes it her top priority to bring something back to one of her siblings. She's a sweetie! My dad took her to the store today and bought all the ingredients for her Fudge and Coconut
Cookies. She is so sweetly excited... I just found the perfect opportunity to say/write the word sweetly. I was having a debate with a few friends today and the debate was about the word sweetly. They didn't think the word sweetly could actually be used in a sentence... Lookie who was right... ME! HA!
Anyway, my dad is making a dessert. He's actually really into it. I think he has maybe found his new calling! Bye Bye Preacher Man and hello Culinary Chef! He would look handsome in a little apron and a tall chefs hat... hmmm... ;)
Hope everyone is having a blessed day! I am now going to take a shower and wash away all the salt water from tubing and all the sand from the beach and all the smell from tennis this evening. =)

Ok, people I almost forgot to tell ya'll that this is a little friendly competition with my momma. She was taking pictures of my dad and us cooking and I said, "I'm going to do a blog post about dad cooking." It sounded like a good idea to her so she said, "No, i'm doing a blog post about dad cooking." She said she had already been thinking of doing it... OK people, we all know that I'm the master mind in this little fight! I mean, c'mon... I'm the homeschooler here! She went to public school in the 80's!!!
So anywhoo,  we decided to have a competion to see who likes whose blog post the most. If ya'll wouldn't mind just posting and saying you like my post about dad cooking more. ;) Or if for some reason you like my moms more you can post on hers telling her you like hers better. Here's her blog.

FYI to everyone. I'm kidding about my mom going to public school in the 80's... well, I'm not kidding because it's true, but I know she's smart and I love her so so so much. ;)

I haven't posted in a long time, as I'm sure you can see, but I'll update shortly. = )
Hope all is well with every one!
